In 2015 our Company achieved ISO 14001 Certification, the international certificate for global managing systems proving our company’s environmental policy.
Many investments have been made during the last years in order to achieve such a result.
First of all, a new updated abatement equipment, has been installed. It is a bio-filter which is composed of 4 containers filled with bio masses which can absorb and neutralize the odorous molecules from the production departments.
Another improvement is the further development of our sewage system. A chemical-physical and biological system has been installed: it purifies both the very first rain water and the water coming from the Production departments, hence allowing us to use the purified water again in the working plants.
Further steps have been also made in the field of fire safety. Indeed, new water supplies have been installed for a total capacity of 90 m3, together with two independent pumping units, which can be used in case of shortage of public water supply.
The underground layer is monitored through the analysis of underground water samples, taken by 40 m deep piezometers, positioned in the Production Dept. both upstream- and downstream the working area.
In July 2015 F.lli Mazzon achieved the Integrated Environmental Authorization according to the EU Regulations, aiming to prevent any forms of pollution and environmental risk. Moreover, all the plants have been recently secured in order to achieve the Certificate of Seismic Suitability.
Besides updating all reactors, chemical plants and underground tanks, we are following strict safety rules which are applied in every single activity, such as recycling: paper, plastic, iron and mud,. are separated and sent to the authorized waste disposers.
Our efforts to achieve environmental results and the quality of both products and services are certified by DNV GL, the most important European certification authority, leader in law conformity assessment .

- to improve programs and systems, by preventing and minimizing all risks;
- to make our company more and more sustainable;
- to communicate in a transparent way all the environmental friendly activities we are carrying out - both inside and outside the Company - in order to grant the safety of our employees and neighborhood;
Our achievement of ISO 14001 Certification shows the Company’s attention to the environment and its commitment to a sustainable development. This is possible also through our staff constant training about chemicals and the related regulations, which are constantly evolving.
